Welcome! I am delighted to be your child’s teacher this year. Kindergarten is a time of new beginnings, of making new friends, and of learning lots of new things each and every day. Our days and weeks will be filled with many wonderful experiences and opportunities for learning and growing.
We will be learning all about letters and sounds this year. Parents, you can help at home by reading to and with your child daily and encouraging him/her to write and draw. Some Science units we will study are Living Things, Trees, Balls and Ramps, and Weather. Our Social Studies units will include learning about Myself and Others, Our Community, Long Ago and Today, and much more. My goal in all academic areas is to actively engage students in meaningful and age appropriate learning.
